It’s been a crazy unpredictable year for us all across the globe to say the least. Last March 14th, here at Black Tie North Tahoe, our season came to a screeching halt, while we were in the midst of a 7 FOOT snow storm with another 2 months of the season still left to go. It was THE eeriest feeling to date to round up all of our outstanding gear scattered across the mountainous North Tahoe region, shut down operations, send our crew home, and lock up the shop for the season, ...all within 24 hours as the snow continued to fall during Tahoe’s biggest storm of the year. Fast forward to this season, skipping a whole lot in between, the resorts are open thus so are we. Without ever planning for it, our Ski Rental Delivery business model falls into place seamlessly, almost as if we’re perfectly made for this no waiting in line, contact free Covid era. Now, more than ever, many are returning to the outdoors or embarking on them for the first time and we’re enthralled to continue to do what we do and help people get out there. The mountains and the outdoors are what we all live for and what makes the energy of our industry so damn exciting and truly unparalleled. When the natural elements (snow in our case ;)) bestow their magic upon us and set the stage for us to embrace the mountain in pure form, they have the power to heal and there’s simply nothing quite like it. You’ll be seeing more of us again in 2021, but as we close out 2020 we thought we’d come back out and say hi and let you all know we’re still here. We’ve just been taking a little hiatus from social while we feel and figure this whole thing out. Be safe this evening and do those socially distant snowdances. It's not always all sunshine, rainbows, and endless pow here in ski town USA. This time of year our industry ramps up full force, working overtime, sacrificing time with family, where the holidays and surrounding days begin to blend together and, sometimes, we may even forget what day of the week it actually is. But we love this lifestyle, the freedoms it gives us and the places it can take us. And one thing is for certain, we couldn't do it without our stellar crew of roc...kstars, technicians, tuners, rez agents, management crew and community partners. Every year we hope to learn, grow, provide better and better service (REPEAT), but more importantly, to keep growing our family oriented team here at Black Tie North Tahoe, and this year's crew is, dare we say it, the best yet!
