Re-introducing the Guatemala La Cascada! This coffee features a classic coffee profile with strong notes of chocolate and caramel, bright acidity with orange and lemon notes, lovely roundness and mouth feel, and a sweet, clean finish. Black Oak Coffee has featured coffee from Hacienda La Cascada ("The Waterfall Estate") for four years. La Cascada is named after the falls on the Flor de Rosario coffee farm in the Alta Verapaz region of Guatemala. The farmer purchased his far...m in 1988 and has been consistently growing exceptional coffee there ever since. In deciding which coffees Black Oak decides to feature, we blind taste dozens of coffees from a given country of origin. It seems that whenever Guatemalan coffee is on the tasting table the winner of the blind tasting is always La Cascada. The farm’s superior product is due in no small part to the over three decades of experience on part of the farmer who grows less productive, but more delicious, coffee varietals, which he mills and ferments in the relatively wet climate of Alta Verapaz before sending it elsewhere to be dried fully. This unique milling and drying process creates a richer, rounder, and more complex flavor profile than in virtually any other Guatemalan coffee we’ve tasted.

This is the Caramel Latte. This delightful blended coffee beverage is made with all in-house ingredients, never any powders or mixes. Available daily in the cafe.
