We are proud to participate in the #RedAlertRESTART campaign happening across the country this Tuesday, September 1 in support of the live events industry and the RESTART Act. In solidarity with our fellow venues and millions of currently unemployed events workers, we will light up our venue RED tomorrow evening. This is much larger than one venue or one industry: for every $1 spent on a ticket at a small music venue, $12 are spent in the local economy. We need Congress’ supp...ort on the RESTART Act to save not only the live events, but the domino effect it has on our shared community and economy. Dear Biscuits And Blues patrons, Our neighbor upstairs had recently repaired their faulty plumbing and leaky appliances. We are ready to serve up the blues once again for you folks. While we are still in the middle of the corona virus crisis, we are working hard to position our place for reopening. A lot of musicians are excited that we won the court ruling that stopped JITB from continuing to cause nuisance. Many musicians had expressed their relief and they are anxious to see us come alive once again so they can perform here. We’ll gradually release our artist roster as they become confirmed and available. In urgent news, the system likes toying with us the date has now moved to Jan. 29th!!! It is hard to keep updating you all when we ourselves are being toyed with on a regular basis :(

Hey San Francisco Blues lovers, We wanted to check in with you after quite some time and let you know that we are still keeping this old blues train moving. Our counsel is still working each day to come to a resolution via mediation to expedite the process, if possible. Albeit a long and arduous process we are still fighting day in and out to get back on our feet. We are still in legal proceedings with Jack in the Box and both parties involved have confirmed a court hearing ...in January (stay tuned for a new date). We do unfortunately have to remain closed for your safety and can't reopen until the health and safety problems have been resolved. Meanwhile: we are hopeful, but we do remain humble and patient while this story unfolds, we please ask you to do the same for us. We also want to wish you and yours a happy holiday season. This time of year was always our busiest season in which we saw all of our best musicians come to town and rock out full houses on our small and intimate club. We will surely miss you and hope to ring in the new year with you next year! During this holiday season, the only thing we ask of you is that you go out and support your local and touring Blues artists and bands in the Bay Area to ensure that they can keep the Blues alive in our absence. As we have had lots of downtime, we have had the chance to put some future plans together if we do in fact win this case in due time, we will be coming back in full force with a brand spanking new club, all with the same intimate feel you have come to love. Hey Blues Folks, we have an immediate update our Court Date got moved to the 29th of October! They are no longer holding the court date on the 15th! Please Please Please notify anyone asap as this is beyond our control and we want to keep this momentum up! We also want to thank you for all of the support you have shown, it is beyond inspiring!... Hey Blues Fans, We want to apologize for being so silent lately as we have had our focus on the grind stone trying to figure out our next move, but we do have an update for you: We have a new Court Date! Once again, We need your support please, we will be going to court to hold the Jack in the Box responsible for the flood damages to our club accountable for their actions. ... We are asking for your support with your attendance to the hearing which will take place at 9:30am sharp Tuesday, October 15th 2019 at the Superior Court of San Francisco at 400 McAallister St. 5th floor room 501. We highly recommend arriving early to allow enough time for security clearance. Even if you can't attend, a simple like and/or share amongst your friends will go a long way to help support us in these times of need! Thank you for sticking through thick and thin with us all these months. As we wait patiently for the tides to change; we wanted to let you know that we appreciate all the love and support you have all shown us over the past few months. In all honestly, it gives us hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. As of now (8/16) there have been no further developments in our trial against Jack in the box. We must wait patiently for due process and decisions from the court system to be made. While it's not the best result, we know that everything will c...ome full circle and we will back up in no time! We yearn for the day we can introduce a new band on our stage and let them take the night away. We really do miss the nightly fix of live blues music and interaction we all shared while listening to it unfold. It was truly something special and that is the passion that still drives us day in and out! Thanks for taking a moment with us, we will see you again soon!

Last Friday Aug 2nd morning at Biscuits And Blues. Sporadic Jack In The Box sewer leak through open gash, pouring at times. Story of our life. Don't understand what is the force that causes the stall in this legal process. It is a mystery!

A week had gone by. There was no progress of any sort from the court. No mediator was selected by the judge and no injunction were issued to stop JITB from operating so repairs can be done. JITB’s walk-in cooler continues to permeate moisture through their flooring and causing mold condition to be unchecked. A San Francisco Chronicle reporter was in the audience during the hearing on July 29th and one was sent on site to our club to get the real facts. You may read his arti...cle with the link below. https://www.sfchronicle.com//One-of-San-Francisco-s-last-b One may think that the plumbing may be landlord’s responsibilities but not in this case as JITB built out their space including the plumbing at the inception of the lease. JITB is responsible for all latent and patent defects according to the lease per landlord’s attorney. The flood was caused by decrepit plumbing that JITB maintained over the years. The leak continues as you can see from the photo taken by the reporter (see group of 4 pictures at the beginning of the article). Next up please support your local blues society such as The Golden Gate Blues Society as this is the only way to keep the blues alive. Our venue showcases arts performance in the blues genre every week and there are not that many which can survive these days in the city of San Francisco. We hope JITB will do the right thing soon but so far no action from their office. Our lawyers continue to be busy and let’s hope we’ll have a break through come this week.
