"Pandemic bright side? You can turn your house into a nudist colony without fear of unannounced visitors. Take the time to do skin-to-skin, nurse, and sitz baths in full frontal peace. Have up-sides to share about lockdown as a new mom? Let's hear 'em!" Posted @withregram @pregnantlove_ . : @fridamom

MAMA'S DIARIES " Beauden is 9 Days Old, and Mama is 9 Days Out. And with the theme of the number 9 (Little Man was born 9/9/19!), I remind myself that it took 9 months to create this perfect babe. That means 273 days that my body worked overtime to literally create life. And with that, I need to thank my body and to view it as nothing less than perfect. And that is coming from the queen of perfectionism - superficial perfectionism, sometimes. If you knew me during my last p...regnancy and the aftermath I created during the postpartum period, I had regular breakdowns about my body. I felt like it was failing me because I wasn't losing the baby weight the way I thought I would. This time, I vow to have a different mindset. Sometimes it's not easy to look at your body (or the scale) after baby and see beauty, but more than any of my previous pregnancies, I do. And that is a personal win. I deserve the dignity and self respect. Women around the world deserve the dignity and self respect. And my babies need to see me handling the postpartum period in a positive way, because birth is beautiful! No more negativity. No more body shaming. No more breakdowns. There is nothing to hide. Bring on the form fitting clothes because I'm proud to show off what this body gave me. " ========================= If You Like This, Double Tap And Tag A MOM & A Loved One! "The P word It's a word I disregarded my entire pregnancy. I was so focused on all the weird symptoms, making it to the next week of pregnancy and...well.. giving birth. I read so many blogs, talked to so many moms and felt as prepared as I could be for my unpredictable plunge into motherhood. I can honestly say I was shocked at how this part of the journey was never talked about Everything from being sad and not knowing why, feeling shame about being sad, breastfeeding ...gone wrong, mastitis, physical healing, personal identity, body image, extreme fear, CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE HAIR LOSS! I mean..it’s a lot I think motherhood shapes us as women. It adds another beautiful layer to life and strengthens who we are as individuals. Postpartum has taught me that I am the perfect mom for my baby because he has never had expectations of me. I’ve accepted that I will fail, but I will learn in the process. And I’m allowing myself to be molded through this journey and embrace all the messy parts too So next time time you start sobbing uncontrollably because your baby won’t latch to your breast, or because you can’t seem to find balance with being a mom and wife and you, or you wonder if you are doing anything right in raising your sweet human..remember the truth is that you were chosen to be your babies mama, so you’re already killin it."
