New filter / clean up plumbing and equipment room. Got better access to the chlorinator and lost 6 90’s in the process. Guess the last pool guy charged by the fitting
TBT !! Hanging out at on the gulf side on the way to scorpion bay. With Sue Bouman, Kristy Bouman, and Kelley Bouman
The same but different !
We have a pool guy but we’re not happy with him Gee can’t imagine why
Facebook told me I need to post something, but we've been too busy to even think about it. That's something right ? Lol Hope everyone's having a good summer !
2 Year’s in a row ! Thank you to all our customers for voting us San Clemente’s best pool service for the 2nd time. We appreciate the business and look forward to serving all of your pool service needs in 2018. Thanks again from all of us at Bills Pool Service !
As we head into the Christmas holiday I wanted to take this time to say THANK YOU to all of our customers for supporting us ! Also a big Thanks to Kelley Bouman and Tyler Mansur for busting their asses for another year. The Santa Ana winds have been relenless this winter and they have worked through them week after week. Those of you without an automatic water leveling system be sure to keep an eye on your water level, the windy conditions and low humidity have the pools needing more water than normal for this time of year. We will be shut down Dec 25th through January 2nd of next year. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! Thanks again from all of us at Bill's Pool Service
That time of year again
Out with old, in with the new. This one had no bonding wire so we added one via a clamp to the copper return.
The previous pool guy cleaned the waterline with a grinder or something, there were deep scratches and gouges in the fiberglass at the waterline. New tile and a couple accents on the wall freshened it up a bit.
Here's some tips for dealing with a clogged suction line. Got a call last week that a bungee cord had gotten sucked into a skimmer and was stuck in the line. Some water was still moving through the line, although it acted like the line was partially plugged. First move was to verify that it (or something) was indeed in there and the dog didn't run off with it. So we did the "Marshmellow test" The marshmellow test involves dropping a large marshmellow into the skimmer, if it s...hows up whole in the pump basket a few seconds later, there's more than likely nothing in the line, if it doesn't show up, you have verified a clog without adding to the problem. 2nd move was to drop some ice cubes into the line to try and "Bowl" whatever's in there through to the other side. The results ? Yes more than likely the bungee is stuck in the line. Next move is to run water backwards through the line. Nada. Then we thought of trying something we hadn't thought of before. We fed a long piece of string into the skimmer until it showed up in the pump basket, turned off the pump, tied a few small loops in each end of the string, and starting pulling it back and forth, it eventually hooked the bungee and Voila ! no more clog. Hope you never have to deal with that particular problem, but if you do, that's what worked for us. Hope this helps haha See more
