This is another "Poster From The Past " created by rock artist Lee Conklin based on a drawing he did prior to doing any posters for Bill Graham presents. Here the central image is a human figure with long fingers for a cape and small fingers that make up a jock strap. His feet are another pair of hands. Fingers also make up the hair and the eyelashes on the little guy. Lee's work always never ceases to amaze me in his ability to use body parts to make up other body parts is v...ery ingenious. It was 53 years ago on this day back in 1968 that an all-star Blues extravaganza began at the Fillmore Auditorium on the first night and finishing up at the Winterland Arena the following two nights with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, James Cotton Blues Band and Albert King. Whoa. What a kick-ass show! No wonder the poster is primarily in Blues. This is BG Fillmore poster number #107 in the series. It was printed two times.
