These strips cause an obvious hazard to cyclists that regularly ride in this area. Attached is a full assessment of the rumble strip hazard, recommendations on improving safety for cyclists in this specific area, and suggestions on what you can do to get involved.... CYCLING TIP OF THE DAY - NUTRITION Bring food and water! Drink two to four 16-ounce bottles of water per hour. Stick to simple snacks high in vitamins and protein for food. Eat 1-2 hours before you hop on your bike, then every 20-30 minutes on rides longer than one hour.
