Hey Lafayette businesses we now have an 11X17 window poster. Great way to show your support for the path and get people to stop in. Comment if you want us to dr...op one by your business. We will be out this weekend. Thank you Lauren McCabe Herpich for the killer design and Robert Lyman for the top notch printing. We are going to build it. See more
When the kids get too big for the trailer it works great for groceries. Ironically coincided with them eating too much for the bike basket. Lets get more areas of Lafayette connected to downtown so others can enjoy the front row parking.
Would you do it? https://thenextweb.com//lithuania-cash-for-clunkers-schem/
Could this be why so many companies have setup offices in Austin? Or how they are attracting employees. This bond is just for Austin and it passed. Measure J for Contra Costa County had a small slice for bicycles and pedestrians and it failed. Do you think we could pass a transportation bond like this one 100% supporting bike and peds in contra costa county? https://www.statesman.com//prop-b-other-transportation-bon
Safe cycling/walking infrastructure is more inclusive, equitable AND good for reducing local congestion. https://www.strongtowns.org//2/11/4/biking-is-empowerment

Here’s an idea...
Lafayette might install one of these. Not on 24 but under 24 on Pleasant Hill Road. https://www.saferouteto.org/ Your reaction? https://www.treehugger.com/south-korea-solar-bike-lane-midd
The school curriculum includes regular field trips to the local "traffic garden." Makes me think if some of our our local adults had this growing up they wouldn’t be running so many red lights. https://www.streetfilms.org/self-reliance-grows-in-the-ut/
Is this an indicator of a trend?
Finally, some good news! https://sf.streetsblog.org//bay-area-advocates-jubilant-o/

This Thursday is Bike to Wherever Day! Take the pledge or just get out and ride around your neighborhood. You might see us on the Laf-Moraga Trail.
We’re not just about cycling! Pedestrians have many of the same concerns. For them, sidewalks are the answer. https://www.sociallifeproject.org/its-the-sidewalks-stupid/
From 2015, but still inspiring. Would you like to see Lafayette schools incorporate bike Ed into the curriculum? Every kid should know how to ride a bike, Kenyon says. It’s a great way not only to get to school, but to exercise, and to see your city. It promotes independence. https://www.bloomberg.com//d-c-will-teach-every-kid-in-pub
Coffee with a City Council Candidate this Friday. It’s a chance to express your thoughts on cycling issues in Lafayette.
