Our good friend Adonis with that Glasses Malone Beach Cruiser in LA Blue. "gOtTa rEp tHaT 213~!" Youll see him cruising this one on Crenshaw. Of course it came from Bike-O-Rama!

This beautiful original 1960 Schwinn Speedster 2 speed just found a home with our friend Will. It's the Schwinn he dreamed about as a kid in the 1960s! This was a local bike sold new in the San Fernando Valley. Check out those super cool west coast butterfly handlebars!

1969 Schwinn Sting Ray amongst our Halloween decorations
Another nice Schwinn Predator we worked on
Here's a fork I painted for a customer's Raleigh road bike that was in a front end collision. Its Sherwin Williams Dimensions base/clear. My body shop supply guy did a great job mixing the color. Dimensions is a fleet paint system not designed for color matching. He beat the system! Check out the last pic for a comparison.
I just sold probably the nicest original 1971 Kool Lemon Schwinn tandem I've ever owned. Look how nice the paint is!
When a customer says "weld a crossbar on my 68' Schwinn Sting Ray handlebars" you just do it. Going for that early BMX style!
You've seen it in our front window... everybody LOVES the Corsa Classic! It features an alloy frame, alloy wheels, SRAM components, a front basket and a rear carrier. We have them back in stock for $349.99+tx. Grab one today before they vanish!
Still coming out of the wood work! 1979 Schwinn Sting Ray Junior I put new tires on. Was sold new at Aviation Cyclery a few miles away.
So I heard you like Sting Rays... 68, 69 and 70 just for you!
Big, little, weird, crazy... we work on damn near everything.
Beautiful 1961 Schwinn Tornado we did some light restoration work on. My friend Steve rolled the fenders for it. Look how nice the original paint is!
Another Schwinn Predator I did some work on. This one has SUPER NICE original paint!
Working on a 1961 Schwinn Tornado with super nice original paint for a customer. My friend Steve was able to roll the dents out of the fenders without damaging the original finish! Check out before and after pics.
I can't even keep up with the amount of restoration requests I'm recieving on classic bicycles. Here is a 1962 Schwinn Typhoon we just did. It was stripped back in the 90s and basically left for dead. The fork was totally bent. I had to buy a Schwinn Hollywood as a parts bike. My friend Steve rolled the fenders for me. I was able to straighten the fork without damaging the paint. It came out as a nice rider that looks original!
Cool Dyno we threw together today for a friend lol
Another super nice (87-88?) Schwinn Predator we did some work on yesterday!
Pretty little coppertone I was checking over for a customer!
Here is a very cool pre war Cleveland Welding/ Roadmaster that belonged to a sixty year El Segundo resident named Lillian Compton. I just added this to my collection. I don't believe this bike has been ridden in at least forty years!
Bike-O-Rama would like to thank everyone that has participated thus far in our "Cash For Clunkers" bicycle retirement program. El Segundo residents have so far voluntarily retired over one hundred unsafe bicycles from use and replaced them with properly functioning safe bicycles. This therefore has increased safety and efficiency in our community. It has greatly cut down the chances of personal injury and potential accidents for riders. Let's keep it up!
Hi, Im Jack from Bike-O-Rama located at 419 Main Street in El Segundo. People don't realize how important bicycle maintenance is and how it directly influences safety. Often people come into our shop with bicycles needing large amounts of repair that if left as is could result in catastrophic mechanical failure and ultimately injury. Most times these bicycles have been left outside for years with only minimum repairs done to keep them functional. In an effort to promote bicyc...le safety and get poorly maintained bicycles off of El Segundo streets, Bike-O-Rama is getting ready for our "Cash 4 Clunkers" program. Starting Tuesday July 31st, ride, push or pull any 24" or larger adult bicycle (running or not) to the store, apply it towards any new or used bicycle purchase and we pay the sales tax! (Call the shop for details and limitations) We've already assisted in retiring over sixty unsafe bicycles. Please call 310 414 2453 or come by the shop during business hours for more information. Thanks! See more

Bike-O-Rama working as mechanics at the Manhattan Beach Grand Prix! Come check us out at space #1!
Dealing with Sting Ray collectors lol https://youtu.be/C11bXBjCBTM
So alot of my new customers haven't seen it, but here is a photo of Bike-O-Rama Lomita in the early 1970s when it was the Bicycle Peddler!
Is your bike shop closing down? CASH paid on the spot for bikes, parts, various inventory, rudy racks, tools and fixtures. New or used it doesn't matter. I'm also constantly buying used bicycles. I liquidate bike shops and buy closeouts. The cycling industry has one of the largest numbers of start ups that close within a short period of time. The bicycle dealers association statistics states that 70% of bike shops will go bankrupt within the first three years. I've been liquidating bicycle shops for the past ten years and have bought the inventory from some of the best known bicycle shops in LA, Orange and San Diego counties that have closed down. Message me for more details. Thanks!
Here's a nice rider 1971 Pea Picker that came out of the desert locally. Hmmmmm... should I make it a Grey Ghost???
So I rebuilt a Bendix two speed kickback a few days ago. I also worked on a campus green Schwinn Tandem installing an original derailleur. Now I'm rebuilding another Bendix two speed on another campus green tandem! Is there a pattern here???!!! This one is a March of 1972 and it's current owner purchased it from a newspaper classified ad in 1981. Apparently he said I'm the only guy who has the parts to do these hubs anymore :O
Here's a nice original Schwinn Predator "Street Wise" I did some maintenance on for a new customer
Here's a Bendix red band two speed kickback Jack just overhauled for our friend Jim. The index spring needed to be replaced and we had an NOS one!
Cool old Peugeot we put back together for our friend Carter! It was literally a basket case. Someone took it apart for paint, lost most of the bearings and abandoned the project. It was like putting Humpty Dumpty back together again lol We were able to even save the original paint!
Everybody is welcome!
That bike... that bike in the window! Well it's back. I just ordered another twenty for you guys! Get them before they vanish again.
Daisy... daisy!
Jack picked up a new toy. Check out this 1992 Robinson!!!
Ever hear of the Schwinn "500" club? If you were a dealer and sold five hundred bikes a year, the head of your Schwinn distribution center would take the dealer out to dinner and present them with a ceremonial plaque. Here are a few that were presented to my old boss Lyle "Cap" Rancier of Palms Cycle in 1972, 1979 and in the 1980s. I guess he was selling a lot of Varsitys! LOL
Here's a restored 1986 Schwinn Predator Davis and I just assembled for a customer. Nice bike with alot of NOS parts!
Here's a cool 1961 Schwinn Jaguar Mark IV that was brought to me by John MacLean all the way from Whittier to do a few small things on. Apparently he's owned it since 1980. It has a unique Austrian Steyr rear three speed hub that is similar to a Sturmey Archew SW. Its cool to see these bikes still being ridden by long time owners!
Cool old Saronni road bike I built for a customer back in Lomita
Does anyone remember the metal bicycle sign that was mounted on the front of Europa Bicycles in Sherman Oaks? It has a new home at Bike-O-Rama!
Just because you love that neon sign so much!
Here's a nice 1980 Schwinn Cruiser DeLuxe!
Like mother like daughter!
Keeping your old Schwinns running!
Thanks to John at Progressive Media Works for restoring my vintage Schwinn neon sign! For all of you local history buffs, this neon sign hung in the window of Palms Cycle since at least the 1980s!
How can cyclists say "one less car" if that car is a turbo charged V6 Buick Grand National???!!!
Nice pic a customer took of Davis and Jack. I swear we actually know what the hell we're doing!
Just for the sake of nostalgia, here is a photo of the last time I ever closed the security gate at the Lomita location (previously "The Bicycle Peddler.") I was there for over five years. This was our last day open to the public on Saturday, September 23rd 2016. I still get a lot of phone calls about that store. It was even used in a couple of short films and TV commercials. People constantly ask "Why did you close it???!!!" Simple answer: El Segundo needed us more lol!
Another 1980s Schwinn Predator I worked on today. Nice bike!
The Bike-O-Rama El Segundo location featured in the 2000 movie "Dude, Where's My Car?!"
Check out this O.G. 50s Taylor Tot stroller I just picked up. Just needs some candy paint lol
Meanwhile at Bike-O-Rama
Cool Schwinn Predator (1986-1988???) I tuned up today!
My old roommate Tim explains some of what goes into painting a vintage bicycle. One of the aspects of painting pre 1950s bicycles is pinstriping. This is why my paint jobs are not cheap! https://youtu.be/Zyphy6SuIQM
"Hey... come back here!" https://youtu.be/aAhhJuWpJJ0
Joe kid on a Sting Ray!
We build cool stuff! Here is an early 80s Trek we assembled out of two bikes. It's original paint and is full Campy! The Thick Slicks were a cool touch.
I finally got that Pre War Shelby going. I know the purists are cringing because I put Schwinn wheels on it lol
Photos from 1961 taken inside Palms Cycle (Culver City, CA) for a school project. Looks like Bike-O-Rama El Segundo!
Nice 1980 Schwinn Cruiser DeLuxe I just bought. Has an original springer front fork. It was bought new at Beverly Hills Bike Shop!
