Wow, regarding table saws before this invention, The CPSC says table saws result in about $4B in damage annually. The market for table saws is about $200-400M. This is a product that does almost 10x in damage as the market size. There’s a disconnect these costs are borne by individuals, the medical system, workers comp and not paid by the power tools company. Because of that, there’s not that much incentive to improve the safety of these tools. This is the mentality we all need to fight against. https://kottke.org//the-table-saw-that-wont-cut-your-finge

Ground rigging basics continue with the basic bridle. They come in a lot of different flavors, but if you understand the basics you will be able to build most of them. Basically.

Greetings fellow rigging enthusiasts! A modification of the "basic basket", the split basket version is another staple of those arenas with beams that are "too big to wrap" with a standard length of cable.

Hello the internet! Here is the "Knots I Used in the MEWP Update" video. Double Fisherman's, using a Prusik Loop, and the Stopper Knot.

Howdy folks. There are a lot of new standards for MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) operations - this one tackles the "you can't haul chain up on the guard rail anymore" aspect.

Our industry has a legal and ethical obligation to protect workers. performers and the public. BOK workers and the public needlessly exposed to excessive risk. ..Trump staffers methodically walking the aisles of BOK Center and peeling the three-inch square stickers from thousands of chairs.. https://www.billboard.com//trump-tulsa-rally-removed-coro/

Hello The Internet! This video shows how to build and tie in a basic rock and roll basket. I've watched a lot of "rigging videos", and noticed a lack of content that demonstrated actual technique. Hopefully these will shed some light while illustrating basic "industry standard" practices. Obviously there is more than one way to rig a cat - feedback and criticism are welcome. Making safety more open source is the goal, and I look forward to learning from the community.
