Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ . This is Thanksgiving day week , I just have to ask the inevitable question; am I really thankful , do I really feel deep felt gratitude in my heart ? gratitude that compels me to do for others without a second thought or question , and what am I thankful for ; I venture to say if I am awake today regardless of state situation or condition I should be thankful. But not only today , every day , yes this day I can have... a feast and celebrate to show my gratefulness , but who is getting the appreciation ? am I praising myself for what I have accomplished ? I have not accomplished anything without the Grace of GOD ! and those whom He has placed around me to be part of my life , to hold me up and encourage me , to inspire me to keep moving in a positive direction , in the same way I am placed in the life of others , so if I am truly thankful and I really feel gratitude I should be compelled to do something for others without reservation , but it should not be for someone in my inner circle , there are people around me who are truly alone and have no place to go and celebrate this day or maybe they don't have any family members near by and they can't afford to go , or maybe they have lost contact or even lost their last relative or friend , maybe it's a single father or mother maybe a widow or widower , maybe it's a young man or woman away from home maybe they are in college or in the Military base near you , maybe they just got released from imprisonment it really does not matter . If I were truly thankful and full of gratitude I would not require any of those reasons to qualify who I am going to ask to be my guest and treat as such for one day . something as simple as an invitation could make the difference in the life of one person or even a family , think about it and look around you , I am sure we all have one or more that we can show the love of God too . God extends both His love and invitation to come to Him everyday , who so ever you may be . See more
