In the video I remind families that we have FR...EE Meals available outside of the school today. You can come by between 6:45AM-9AM, 11AM-1PM, & 4:30PM-7PM. At the 11AM distribution time the Redwood Empire Food Bank will also be here with FREE groceries. I will be outside between 11AM-12PM today with some foods from our Lending Library. We even have some new titles to pass out that were generously donated by the Children's Equity Collective. We are so grateful! I hope see some of you later today. WEDNESDAY SEPT 30, 2:45pm UPDATE: (en español abajo) Due to the Glass Fire and related conditions: All distance learning classes in Santa Rosa City Schools ...are canceled for Thursday Oct. 1 and Friday Oct. 2 Elementary school Back-to-School Night has also been canceled and will be rescheduled. Grab-and-Go meals will be distributed on Thursday and Friday as usual. srcschools.org/meals We will have an update on Sunday afternoon about next week’s classes. All SRCS online classes are cancelled for tomorrow - Tuesday ...September 29th & Wednesday September 30th - due the fires and evacuations in the area. I hope you are all safe and out of danger. As part of my post I included a google form. I would love to hear from all of you to be sure you're safe and to offer support if you need it. Please go to Parent Square to see this post. This is the main form of communicat...ion, so please make sure you're using it. Remember - daily on attendance is required, even on Wednesdays! Be sure your student interacts with their teacher in some way today. Also - I am so excited for Back to School Night next week! It is be at 6PM, but will be virtual. You can find an update from Mrs. Monday through our communication platform - Parent Square. Have you joined yet? Here are some key points: - School starts a...t 8AM everyday. Help your student log on ahead of time so they are ready for the Zoom Meeting when it starts. Also - teachers may ask for them to have their camera on and they need to enter the meeting with their correct NAME. - We do not have school next week on Monday, due to the Labor Day Holiday - We have meal distribution here at BH on Thursdays. They have extended the times for pick up to help accommodate our families. Here are the times for Thursday pick up today and every week on Thursday: 6:45AM-9AM, 11AM-1PM, 4:30PM-7PM - If you need help with the online Free/Reduced Priced Lunch Application - please call us or come to the school during meal distribution and there will be staff here to help you. Teachers will not be interacting with students LIVE until later on in the day between 1:20-2:30. Why? Each week on Wednesdays teachers will take time to participate in Professional Development, which is learning for teachers. Please check Seesaw (KA-3 students) or Google Classroom (4-6 students) to see what the teacher has planned for yo...u today and how they want you to interact later today. We still take attendance on Wednesday, so your participation in the interaction with your teacher between 1:20-2:30 is required.
