What do the new CDC guidelines for safely gathering with fully vaccinated people entail? Our Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Leo Li is here to help clarify this and more with ABC7 news anchor Brandi Hitt! Thanks for keeping our #community informed. . The CDC released new guidelines stating that those who are fully vaccinated can gather without social distancing or masks. However, it is important to fully understand these guidelines. For example, fully vaccinated people are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after completing their respective vaccine series (be it the 2 dose Pfizer or Moderna series or 1 dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine). The path to overcoming this crisis continues on as more people from Phase 1B are being vaccinated. People like Valerie S. who works at a non-profit charter school. She scheduled an appointment & received her 1st dose last week. When asked who she dedicates her #COVID19 vaccine to, she said . I dedicate my shot to my mother & the students struggling with virtual learning. (Our students) should be in the classroom with their teachers & friends. . Valerie agrees with the impor...tance of getting the vaccine when it becomes available to you. Do it for the students, people who have lost a loved one to #COVID, those at risk, and for everyone, she said. . To learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine, visit: www.beverly.org/vaccine See more

As you do your #holidayshopping, we want you to have a safe shopping experience. Remember to be wary of scam attempts this #seasonofgiving. Talk with your loved ones on how to spot scams. Learn more at: fbi.gov/scams . Our top tips: 1. Be on the lookout of websites or social media pages claiming big discounts on the latest products. If it is too good to be true, it might be a scam. 2. Make sure emails or texts claiming that your packages are on the way are legitimate. Check f...or spelling errors & poor grammar. Don't click on links unless you can confirm they are from a reputable source. Scammers can make fake login pages to steal your information. 3. Be skeptical of charities/donation pages asking for donations. Do your research to make sure your money will go to the claimed recipients. See more
