I will always remember. Snapped this photo before I headed out to my oncologist appointment today. I am still amazed that no matter what is going on in my life.. momming.. being an 8-5er... being a momprenuer.. being a survivor.. it never fails for me to have anxiety before my appointments.. Driving to the building with a big sign reading California Cancer & Research Institute it always hits me.. MY LIFE WAS SAVED IN THAT BUILDING.. and bam waterworks .. I wish I was unb...reakable like this shirt says lol! But I do have bad days too. Lots of people would say that chemo is poison. It is some very harsh stuff.... but that harsh stuff saved me.. As I wait impatiently for my results.. I will remain positive and I will continue to manifest that I will be cancer free forever. OTIG I OE ETI T TE IE TT TGGE TOG TE TE. Through this cancer journey there have been a lot of tears, worry, and fear. The holidays especially make me a little more emotional than ever as I reflect back on all the things I have gone through. This moment right here was my last day of chemo two years ago with my number one supporter, my hubby. I was so excited to have finished my last set of 6 treatments. The last day of having to go th...rough a 6 hour treatment of 9 meds to cycle through my body. The last day of having anxiety of each bag of medicine that was put on that IV pole, anticipating the feeling of that med going into my body and knowing how it will react. The last day I would have to go though this cycle! I was so excited this part of my journey was over and so thankful to be alive! For those of you that are going through this now or will go through it, you are stronger than you think. You CAN do this. It WILL be hard, but just keep FIGHTING. You WILL be scared, but you have to put trust in your body and medical team to get you through this. YOU ARE STRONG TO FIGHT THROUGH THIS STORM. Everyone’s journey is different, but having a support system can help you mentally get through it all. My family, my friends, my new found breast cancer community, my kids, and my hubby.... kept me strong and helped me push through all the pain, all the days I wanted to give up, and all my sick days.
