This Candlight Service will premiere at 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. We encourage you to dim your house lights, and have your candles ready as we contemplate and reflect on The Light of the World.

We struggle with the concept of forgetting the sins of others. I will be the first to say that some sins cannot be forgotten. I will also be the first to say that forgiving someone does not mean you should allow a person to continue causing you harm. However, there is incredible comfort that comes from know God not only forgives our sins, but forgets they ever happened. Eternal paradise.

In the 70’s there was a guy at many televised football games, who would be in the endzone with a sign reading John 3:16. He had rainbow colored hair and in out household was known as the rainbow hair guy. I have often wondered how many people looked at John 3:16 because of his witness. God wants us to look to Jesus. God wants us to see Jesus because in Jesus we have life. Today we will consider how that has always been true.

The money-changers were providing a valuable service (or so they thought). They were taking unclean money from people and giving them back clean money that they could use in the temple for a fee, of course. But what they were really accomplishing was getting in the way of others worshiping God. Don’t be a money-changer.
