At Best Start Birth Center we want you to feel in control of your prenatal, birth, and postpartum care. You should LOVE where you have your baby, and everything about the experience.

Freedom of movement during labor is essential to the progression of the birth process, and helps the baby get into the optimal position for birth. At Best Start Birth Center, we support and encourage you to move throughout your labor, and to assume whatever position is most comfortable and effective for you.

Research shows that greater control, comfort, freedom to move, and fewer interventions are just a few reasons why more women are choosing out-of-hospital birth. Whether you know you want a birth center birth, or you are just exploring your options, now is a great time to schedule a in person or virtual tour. Best Start Birth Center provides care for all of the phases of a woman’s life; from the onset of menses through menopause. Our office setting is comfortable and private. We make sure to schedule longer appointments than traditional OB care, giving us time to answer all of your questions! Our Certified Nurse Midwife is able to prescribe medication when needed, including: birth control medications (the pill, the ring, IUD, etc); wellness medications for blood pressure and thyroid problems; and, medications to treat infections like antibiotics or antifungals.

In our childbirth classes at Best Start, we emphasize resting in early labor, then later, involving yourself in activities that will take your mind off of the labor, like walking or watching a funny movie This determined mama took her "labor activity" to the extreme!
