Join us in ending animal exploitation! Tomorrow at 11am we have a Meetup discussing our campaign against Smithfield. Message us for the Zoom link to the Meetup! Tomorrow we will be hearing more about DxE’s latest investigation of a California slaughterhouse connected to Smithfield, and about what’s next in the campaign against Smithfield.... Please watch our investigation, Unseen, here: dxe.io/unseen Smithfield represents the worst of animal ag -- brutalizing animals, exploiting workers, and threatening global public health with rampant pollution and infectious diseases. The COVID-19 crisis has brought these realities into the public spotlight, and now, workers, activists and ordinary people everywhere are uniting to take on this agricultural giant. They’re calling on California to lead with an immediate moratorium prohibiting the construction of factory farms and slaughterhouses, and a complete ban by 2025 -- as part of a broader campaign to #CancelAnimalAg.

Smithfield "Foods" is the poster child of an oppressive violent industry towards humans, nonhuman animals, and our planet! A whole list of moral and ethical crimes includes but aren't limited to: Forcing pigs in gestation crates so small that they can't even turn around. Mutilates baby pigs after birth and tear them away from their crying mothers. Mass confinement of pigs means they collect all this urine and feces in a MASSIVE toxic lagoon pond which pollutes nearby air..., land, water. Forces humans (mostly people of color and immigrants) to slaughter others without proper PPE and social distancing measures causing the worse COVID19 outbreaks in their facilities! Attempted silencing of whistleblowers and investigators with MULTIPLE felony charges just for DOCUMENTING Smithfields criminal conditions! This is happening right here in our backyard. What Smithfield is doing to all life on Earth is nothing short of pure evil. Well, we ain't taking that anymore! This coming Saturday, July 18 at 11am, activists will launch a MASSIVE campaign to take down one of the largest, most sadistic animal exploiting and planet-destroying companies in the world! The only ones who can take down this are us, the PEOPLE! RSVP to find out how YOU can take part to take on this inherently violent industry for the animals, humans, and the planet! #CancelAnimalAg

Support these local Bay Area businesses that are Black-owner and vegan. The animal rights community is against all forms of oppression and that includes racism. We must show solidarity with the Black community. Financially supporting these businesses is one way we can demonstrate support but it cannot end there. Please find ways you can take action and support the fight against police brutality and racism.

Local Bay Area animal rights activist Matt Johnson of Direct Action Everywhere - DxE repressed by the government for exposing sadistic mass killings from a factory farm! With an inherently violent industry that is also this corrupt, it's pretty clear we need to #CancelAnimalAg!

Factory farms are roasting pigs alive in mass killings due to COVID-19! This is unacceptable! These are healthy, beautiful pigs who did nothing to deserve to be tortured to death! Animal rights activist community, let's share this Direct Action Everywhere - DxE hidden camera footage far and wide and mobilize to #CancelAnimalAg!

Animal agriculture are breeding grounds for the next zoonotic diseases, viral, and bacterial outbreaks. It's crystal clear that we need to end animal agriculture before it ends us and all life on Earth. #CancelAnimalAg

Join us as we debate the different definitions of and assumptions about veganism, and try to synthesize these different perspectives to answer a key question for our movement. Together, we will put liberation into action with our own hearts, minds, and hands. All are welcome, including those new to activism and veganism. You must register to attend - call information + instructions for how to join will be emailed to registrants. ... REGISTER: dxe.io/ALOA

Dozens of animal rights activists have exposed diseased animals at farms and slaughterhouses -- including a coronavirus in pig farms -- but instead of investigating the farms the authorities have prosecuted the activists. Join the Animal Liberation Online Assembly Saturday for a panel discussion with The Intercept investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald, legal scholar Hadar Aviram, and Direct Action Everywhere - DxE co-founder and factory farm investigator Wayne Hsuing, to l...earn how the fight to defend whistleblowers will shape the future of our planet.
