Sad news ~ Lucy Chang, a quiet energizer of the South Bay folk dance scene, died of cancer this past Wednesday. Among her many contributions to our dance community is her work with Loui Tucker on many Moveable Feet events. Lucy and her husband Richard often attended the Festival of the Oaks and special BFD events. She will be greatly missed. We've just returned from the wonderful Monte Toyon weekend down in Aptos,CA. The teacher this year was Erik Hoffman with the musical support of Michael Harmon. This meant that we had live music and a fabulous caller/teacher for contra dancing all weekend long. The dancing, puzzling, socializing and good food in a beautiful place, all together heavenly <3 Here are some snapshots, 'proper photos' will follow.
