Good Morning Bergie Peeps! Just wanted you all to know....WE STILL MISS YOU!!!!

Bergie and I were just thinking about all the fabulous customers that we miss from Bergies so we stopped by to say hi! Hope all is well!!!

Been a year since we said goodbye! We miss all of you wonderful people who changed our lives. Hope all is well.

Hasta La Vista Bergie’s So Saturday is the day we say goodbye to Bergie’s our beloved little pub. Just the wrong time to be here. With the rapidly failing health of Karen’s mom and my parents in their mid 80’s it is time to be close to family. So tomorrow, Saturday April 28th from noon to we run our of beer we are throwing a HASTA LA VISTA BERGISTA party and we hope you will drop by and say hello and goodbye. We will have burgers, wings, tot’s and fries all at very special p...rices. We also will be selling out all of our beer at $2-$4 a glass. Hasta la vista Bergie's Party! Bergie's last dance is this Saturday from noon till the beer runs out. We have at least three live act's coming in for the event. We are going to drink every drop of beer in the house. The menu will be limited to our famous burgers, fries tots and wings. All beers will be just $2-$4. Burgers will be $5-$7. Our 1st cook "E" will be commanding the kitchen. Mike, Sam and Karen will be front of house. So far we have our good friend Charlie Imes, Chris Dale and Rev Stickman providing the entertainment. I bet my neighbor Bruce will sit in for a song or two. Don't look at this as sad, look at it as a good old fashioned wake. Come sing some songs and tell some lies and say goodbye to Bergie's as we knew it.

So for clarification, we have the opportunity to bring our great burgers and wings to Kelly's pub. I fear people will not like the environment. It is a dark Irish bar. It would be great food but not the bright cheery place Bergie's was. So I am not sure. Would love your feedback. I know I can't hang out in a dark bar 8 hours a day. I know that surprises a few of you but I can't do it. So if we do it, Karen and I would not be there all the time and that pisses some people off. But again, If people would go there to eat a great burger and trow back a cold beer or cocktail then I would do it.

Come join us this Saturday at Bergie's for our farewell extravaganza. Our last day in business at that location will be Saturday from noon to 7 pm or till the kegs are empty. WE WILL HAVE SOME FRIENDS DROPPING BY TO PLAY SOME SONGS AND SING A BIT. Burgers and beer will be the menu of the day. We have loved all of our loyal customers. Due to failing health of our parents we need to be a little more available to them and 12 hour days of pub operation is not releasable any longer. So come on down and say good bye to Bergie's Pub!

Bergie’s Update! What a wild ride this has been. We have sold our current location and will be moving our kitchen two doors down to 2222 San Diego Ave. Bergie’s will be the kitchen at Kelly’s Pub. A good old fashioned dive bar will full alcohol. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity as the old location was not cutting it. Bergie’s will be open at the original location till the end of the month. Come see us a few times before we move. In the meantime we are open at Kelly’s also. Mike will be cooking at Kelly’s Friday and Saturday while Nate and Kyle are cooking at Bergie’s. Come see us at either location, we could use the business
