The Bergelectric Charitable Foundation is proud to announce they have made a substantial monetary contribution to the Mary's Place. . Established in 1999, as a day center for homeless women. Women were walking from service to service, carrying their home on their backs, trying to get their physical needs met. They were waiting in line for hours for meals, laundry, medical care, benefits, to use a free phone, or to apply for housing and employment. With a grant from the Boein...g Employee's Community Fund and the passion of a dedicated board and staff, Mary’s Place Women’s Day Center opened its doors. The women developed the structure and daily schedule that remains in effect today: two meals a day, hygiene facilities, showers, laundry, medical care, support groups, and ample resources for housing, employment, and benefits. . William writes: I have always had an interest in fast cars, electronics and working with my hands to build and modify. For the past few years, after business hours and on the weekends, I have been spending time in an electric vehicle c...onversion shop called Stealth EV, located in Oceanside, CA. The shop allows me to take all my interests and put them to good use, by helping the car enthusiast community take steps closer to a cleaner future. We source classic cars and convert them to full electric versions by utilizing salvaged Tesla and other car manufacturer battery packs. Typically the full EV version of the classic or collectible car is faster, and more fun to drive. Within the last year, I was able to work on a vehicle conversion which was auctioned off by Omaze.com, an organization which donates proceeds from raffle ticket sales to charitable causes. We chose proceeds from our car to go to @planetarysociety. Stealth EV electrical vehicle conversion shop is always looking for new classic or collectible cars which were previously gas guzzlers or low performance for electrical conversions to help lower emissions and create fun driving experiences. Wilson joined the Army immediately after graduating high school at the young age of 17. Shortly after his honorable discharge, he moved to Denver to study information technology and earned an associated degree in 2003. After moving to San Diego in 2004, Wilson was offered his first job in fire alarm systems as an apprentice. In 2013, Wilson met George Stivers (Bergelectric's Sr. Vice President of NTS at the time--now retired) at a barbeque and shortly after, he accepted his o...ffer to become the fire alarm project manager for Berg's NTS Region. Major projects upon his arrival at Berg included the Viejas Casino and Rady Children's Hospital Acute Care Pavilion. Wilson is currently working on the Scripps La Jolla Tower II project. His professional goals are to continue to move up the leadership chain of command and to continue to learn and be involved in the industry's cutting-edge technologies.
