10 years ago on Thanksgiving weekend, we moved from Van Nuys to North Hollywood. Back then, 2-wheeled recumbents were just as popular as 3-wheeled ones, and electric assist didn’t really exist. With the growth of trikes and electric assist, we wanted to enlarge the shop space so we could have more work space. Mission accomplished!

It took a few more hours of work this morning, but we finally finished Bob’s HP Velotechnik International Scorpion FS26 trike. We then took off for a 16 miles ride up the coast to the North Shore of Oahu, stopping at the various beaches to enjoy the views and get some good pictures.

We are one of the very few shops where customers can test ride the Catrike700, the Bacchetta Bikes CT 2.0, and the ICE Trikes VTX. All three of these trikes are fantastic performance machines. Mark chose the Bacchetta, and here’s what we did with it. Full SRAM Force AXS wireless electronic shifting with a 10-33 12s cassette and 33-46t chainrings. The blip holders you see work perfectly on a trike. The stock wheels are shod with tubeless Schwalbe Pro One tires. We are still w...aiting for the Enve wheel for the back. Art in motion...

Honza lists some great pros and cons to larger and smaller wheels. Some manufacturers have offset some of the flex inherent with larger wheels by using a thru-axle design. What is your preference and why?
