Live streaming your Ceremony is a must in today’s world. Live streaming lets you share the intimate and memorable moments of your ceremony with friends and family who are unable to attend the event in person. Top tips to get the most out of your live stream experience. 1 The MOST important part of live streaming is the internet connection. Your venues location and internet options may pose a challenge. Be sure to choose a vendor with knowledge of upload speed and equipment... options to be sure your virtual guests get a quality video and audio experience... just as if they were there! 2 BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING! Ask you vendor to test the connection speeds days before your event and provide a back up streaming device especially if the weather is hot. Digital equipment doesn’t like heat and having a backup available will keep the production going. 3 Make sure the camera is placed near a speaker so the audio is transmitted loud and clear. Remember audio is key for your friends and family to feel like they are present. 4 CHOOSE YOUR PLATFORM Streaming platforms are a matter of personal choice. As long as your internet connection is solid, your Live Stream should go smoothly. If you choose Zoom, ask your vendor to provide you with the recording for your memories. 5 RESEARCH Be diligent with your research, hire a vendor who has an exclusive partnership with your venue if you can or multiple cellular hotspot options, backup cameras, iPads, etc. and your Live Stream will be the hit of your ceremony Pro tip brought to you by Premier 6 Events

There are the guaranteed invites that include family and close friends but you need to decide how far past that you’re willing to go. Remember each guest costs $$$. From the obvious per head food & beverage costs to the often overlooked cost of rentals, additional centerpieces, favors, etc. The topic of guest count comes up pretty regularly when booking a venue. ... If budget isn’t an issue, you may still want to consider an smaller intimate gathering and splurge on all the bells and whistles that you couldn’t afford otherwise. While the simplest way to save money is a smaller headcount, there are other factors at play these days. The current restrictions regarding events and the overall health and safety of guests has prompted many couples to lower the count and find options for including their loved ones. PRO TIP - If you make the tough decision to trim your list then, think about live streaming. Live streaming is a great way to include those guests that you don’t want to leave out or those who’ve decided they aren’t able to, or feel safe to, travel to your big day. A wedding day catastrophe with a happy ending... a (long) must read! It all started with a rare, weddingless, October weekend at Belle Vie. A much needed chance to catch up on some chores around here before the last big push of the season. Forward to 5pm yesterday... the phone rings and it’s a woman on the other end from Brentwood Park and Rec asks, is there any way you could host a wedding for 200 guests TOMORROW? (their power is being shut off ). Now I still can’t deci...de if I was feeling confident, cocky or just plain out of my mind but I answered sure! with absolutely nothing but that to go on . Imagine trying to step in to a years worth of someone else’s planning, in a different space and with all of the details already decided in under 24 hours... I met the couple later that evening and all I could do was offer them a drink and say we’ll make it work! My heart was broken for them but it was time to rally! A flurry of phone calls, texts and conversations between all parties to get ALL the vendors and deliveries moved, the floor plan re-done and duties reassigned into the wee hours of the night. T minus 20 hours and counting. Was it possible? YES! Thanks to all the Belle Vie staff who gave up their day off, all the vendors who graciously accommodated the switch (and didn’t punish this beautiful couple with extra travel fees), the City of Brentwood - Parks & Recreation for taking the initiative to relocate them and all of the loving friends and family that jumped in to help. This just goes to show... anything’s possible. Congratulations to the MacKay’s!
