While the changes that the BACB recently announced are understandable regarding the logistics of maintaining certifications for international behavior analysts, the decision to only provide the test in English is a huge disservice to our Spanish speaking community within the US. With the US Census reporting that we currently comprise about 60 million or nearly 20% of the US population, it is imperative that the board continue to not only offer the BCBA and RBT test in Spanish..., but also to strive to reduce the cultural discrimination which is currently part of both exams. I encourage you to sign this petition to help bring about lasting change. The BACB stated that they would be willing to "entertain a needs analysis... in late 2020 for examinations in languages other than English in the US and Canada depending on viability, DEMAND and advisability" Lets make sure that the DEMAND is there!
