Is your shoulder a mess? Raise your arm! This patient is recovering from labral repair surgery about 7 months ago and has difficulty reaching out to the side. Physical exam reveals loss of inferior humeral glide, limiting abduction.... Treatment:down regulation of coracoacromial ligament, stimulation to posterior glenohumeral capsule, and joint manipulation to increase inferior glide. Bam! Nice increase in one session. Thank you @m_lebby for use of your session photos. Thank you@neurokinetictherapy for teaching the most useful interventions. #bechtelphysicaltherapy #painsucks #shoulderpain #tennis #swimming #shoulderimpingement #nkt #labraltearrecovery #physicaltherapy @ Bechtel Physical Therapy

You have at least 900 ligaments in your body. When you have a weak muscle that you can not seem to strengthen, your ligaments may be at fault. There may be an issue between a ligament and the muscle directly or between two ligaments affecting your weak muscle. For example, you have been told you have a weak rotator cuff and despite attempting to strengthen your muscle, you remain weak and in pain. Common ligaments associated with your rotator cuff muscles include: glenohumera...l, coracohumeral, and acromioclavicular joint ligaments. This dysfunction can be easily assessed with @neurokinetictherapy technique. Bechtel Physical Therapy has 2 level 3 DPTs ready to assist you.#bechtelphysicaltherapy #painsucks #NKT #neurokinetictherapy #shoulderpain #rotatorcuff #tennis #swimming Call to schedule with @kristinedpt or @terribechteldpt @ Bechtel Physical Therapy See more

Train like a boa constrictor? Could this really be true? Can you actually increase muscle mass, strength, bone density, and aerobic capacity, speed recovery and reduce pain super fast using light weights? YES! Blood flow restriction training (BFRT) is the hack. BFRT is ideal whether you’re athletic, elderly, pre-or post operative, bed ridden, or in a cast or brace. ... BFRT is a proven strengthening method developed in Japan in 1966 which uses a cuff to safely modify blood flow to each targeted muscle group. Research has shown BFRT creates a hypoxic environment that stimulates protein synthesis, increases local circulation and the production of human growth hormone, resulting in muscle mass gains in a fraction of the time with low load resistance training. That means less heavy lifting and more muscle size and strength gains! The benefits are SUBSTANTIAL. Get stronger faster, recover quicker, and avoid injury from lifting heavy weights using blood flow restriction training. If you have questions, several of our therapists are certified in BFRT And would be happy to instruct you personally. Thank you @blaine.greenberg @brynaitkenyoung and @decheverry18 for assisting with this post. #physicaltherapy #bechtelphysicaltherapy #painsucks #bloodflowrestriction #bloodflowrestrictiontraining #getstrong #bonedensity #aerobiccapacity
