Hi, I’m Benji! I’m a wonderful little man with lots of personality and lots of love to give! I enjoy my person-time, so belly rubs and snuggles are always welcome! And how about my silly and lovable butterfly ears don’t you just want to take me home and give them a scratch? You may notice that my legs are bowed out, so I walk like a cowboy in an old western. Because of this condition I have some arthritic changes in my joints that will require I receive pain medication ...for the rest of my life in order to keep me comfortable and I’m only able to go on short walks and have low impact exercise. So I am perfect for a mellow household! I promise to be the best companion, perfect couch potato and cutest cuddle buddy you could ever ask for! For more information, berkeleyhumane.org/adopt/

This month they provided dogs and cats healthy wet and dry food, including special bottle formula for underage kittens and prescription food for animals with medically-compromised immune systems! Alumni Update 14 years ago I met Leo at an adoption event at a store on College Avenue in Oakland. I wasn’t looking for a dog but our eyes met and I felt he was my dog. I went to Berkeley Humane with my family the next day. We spent time with him and got to bring him home! He’s been a wonderful and important member of the household. We adopted his sister Peaches the pug from Pug Rescue of Northern California 9 years ago and he’s been a great big brother although... it was more fun to be an only dog. He wears his Halloween costumes with pride and endures the cashmere sweaters I make for him out of old sweaters. He is sweet and brave and always a good watch dog.
