After decades of research, a vaccine to fight #FoothillAbortion is finally available. Utilized to prevent fetal loss in first-calf heifers from the bacteria Pajaroellobacter abortibovis, the vaccine will now be available through local livestock veterinarians.
Stolen from another clinic- but we also only have rectal thermometers. You’ve been warned!! We are still requiring owners to wear masks at all appointments and to observe social distancing guidelines wherever possible. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Yes, we remain open for normal business hours, and we hope to keep it that way. Please be mindful of the recommendations made by the AVMA so that all of us can remain healthy and we can remain available for your pets needs. 1. Please consider rescheduling appointments that are elective or not considered essential . 2. Animals that are sick or injured should still receive immediate veterinary attention. ... 3. Please consider rescheduling your appointment if you or anyone in your home has a fever, cough, shortness of breath or contact with a positive COVID-19 individual. 4. Provide as much information to the office/ over the phone as possible prior to an appointment (Including payment info). Ask about consultation options for non emergent cases. Tele- medicine can be a helpful tool to monitor patients that already have an established veterinary- patient relationship. (Exam within 1 year. ) 5. The virus spreads via direct contact with saliva or mucus droplets of an infected person. This contact can occur from touching the infected person or even touching contaminated surfaces. Infected individuals can remain asymptomatic. 5. There is no evidence to indicate that pets can become ill with COVID-19 or can spread it to other animals. 6. When possible allow us to provide care OUTSIDE of your home. Please whenever possible maintain at least a 6 foot distance (1 llama distance) between yourself and our veterinary staff. Our technicians are well trained and capable of restraining most animals on their own. 7. Most of all stay safe and follow the recommendations made by the CDC to protect your own health. Thank you again for your cooperation as we all adapt to this situation. We value your patience during this difficult time.
