BeachSide Beatdown 02.01.2021

UPDATE: Our purpose hasn’t changed - we will donate the funds we’ve collected to this community who are struggling with survival : the president added 21 days of lockdown just tooo worried many of the vulnerable people in my slum community that are hand to mouth, meaning the money they get is what they use for food have not worked for a month and now 21 more days ...... At least we provided some food for the first month to some tooooo vulnerable families but I cannot afford as a ministry to help with fees for these more days - Sonko 'Donsonko' Joel We do not know when we will be able to host the BeachSide Beatdown but we will host as soon as permitted - We will be donating the funds collected to this village - we still believe in give more then what you take . If you would like a refund - we will have a deadline of 5/26 email [email protected] you will receive a full refund minus the cost of the shirts that we had already paid for in anticipation of running the event of $25 + shipping or we will designate a time to gather your shirt to save you the shipping charge. The (Beatdown) event organizer had himself already paid $300 to compete at the West Coast Classic which was also postponed - so we completely understand about and not being able to participate. If you do not wish for a refund be confident to know your money will be going to people who are literally struggling to survive . We will run this event as soon as permitted. Thank you!

Quick and Short - GOOD NEWS! Read on...... You will not have to hangout outside in the cold rain, you will have more time to prepare for the awesome workouts and when we resume the BeatDown in a couple months you can tan (it will be sunny:) Due to the recent changes in public policy regarding the you know what, Gatherings of less then 250 people for events such as this should implements a 6 feet rule. Obviously when you are in the middle of crushing a WOD in a competition wit...h 60+ awesome people that is a bit difficult, and we want to do our part to get back to normalcy asap. And registration is open again! We are POSTPONING this event NOT CANCELING. Continue to go to your gym, train and hangout with friends. It will help you from feeling anxious with a hint of sadness. It is a must to have normalcy in a time that is not so normal. TRAIN and SMILE! Stay posted for the NEW DATE! (as of now we are eyeing early May) P.S. - Try not to stress so much, stress releases cortisol and cortisol is not super great for health or your "fran"time. We are optimistic and everything will be back to normal and this will be the "Do you remember that one time........" conversation. Have a great day:)

Last day to register link in bio #beachsidebeatdown2020 Small change to weights for divisions EVENT #1 With a continuously running clock every minute perform - Each athlete will have 1 minute to complete: 1 (any variation) Clean + 1 (any variation Shoulder to Overhead) Jerk Weight increases by 10lbs per minute. If athlete is unable to perform jerk but is still able to perform clean, the athlete may continue the ladder performing the clean. At which point the athlete... will accrue points for clean only. 2 ladders available for men and 1 ladder for women Ladder 1 Men 135 lbs - 225lbs Ladder 2 Men 205 lbs - 295lbs Ladder 1 Women 65lbs - 155lbs Athletes who complete ladder (men 2 or women) can choose to continue to add weight EMOM EVENT #2 6 rounds, 4 mins each, for max reps of (echo bike): 8 Burpee Box Jump Overs, 24/20 in 8 Hang Power Snatches 8 Thrusters 8 Burpee Box Jump Overs, 24/20 in 8 Hang Power Snatches 8 Thrusters Max reps in remaining time Echo Bike Calories Rx 95lbs/65lbs Intermediate/Masters- 85lbs/55lbs Beginners 65lbs/45lbs /Burpee Box Step Overs 1 athlete working at a time for 4 minutes.
