As we leave a most difficult year behind us and move into a New Year of hope, we remember that the pandemic has forced us to change many of our ways of thinking and doing. As we face new challenges, we also remember old lessons about the reality of suffering, the need for compassion, the wisdom of interdependence and a gratitude for all of the help we have received from so many people. These are timeless Buddhist values, and we look forward to cooperating with old colleagues and new friends as we work toward advancing the mission of BDK America of creating a better world of peace and happiness.

Dear Buddhist Temple of San Diego Community - UC San Diego will be presenting a screening of my documentary film, THE ITO SISTERS, on Friday, February 8, 2019 a...t 6:00 p.m. in the Price Center Theater. The film explores the early Japanese American experience through the lives of my grandmother and her two sisters.
