It’s week four of the fall semester!! We got this!!! Does your class have Supplemental Instruction (SI) support? SI sessions are a great place to get to know your classmates, review class material and learn new strategies to succeed in this on-line environment. If you are enrolled in a SI supported class, SI session schedules can be found in your instructors canvas pages. You can also follow SI on Instagram @si_butte_college

The fall semester has begun and CAS is here to support students and staff! We are fully online! CAS online, drop-in tutoring is available in the following subjects: -Accounting, Administration of Justice, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computers & Digital Literacy, Math, Microbiology, Physics, Physiology, Reading & Writing and Statistics.... -Week One Tutoring (begins 8/24) available for: Computers & Digital Literacy, Math, Reading & Writing and Statistics. All other tutoring begins the second week. CAS Workshops: -CAS workshops will be available 9/7. The majority of the workshops will be offered asynchronously (recorded videos), however; there will be live workshops offered periodically. Critical Skills for College Success (CSCS) 1/2 unit course: -Students who wish to receive targeted academic support are encouraged to enroll in the CSCS course. Students enrolled in the course are required to attend 8 CAS workshops and receive one-to-one academic case management support from an LRS in the form of three appointments throughout the semester. For more information, please contact any CAS staff member. Supplemental Instruction (SI): -SI support will be available for select courses. Student-Athlete Success Program (SASP): -SASP offers tailored academic support for student-athletes. -Online SASP support can be accessed through the EDUC 310 Canvas course. -The drop-in SASP hours of operation will be posted to the CAS Webpage soon. If you have any questions regarding SASP, please contact Wally Funk. Academic Coaching: -Learning Resource Specialists (CAS faculty) offer one-to-one academic coaching for students who wish to become more effective and efficient learners. Students can self-refer and contact us for appointments through the CAS webpage. Butte College staff our encourage to refer students as well.
