This is what our newest type 2 water tender looks like today. This is a 2019 Kenworth T800 that's about to get it's tank and pump system installed. We ought to have it finished and online sometime in August.

The USFS doesn't mess around when it comes to aircraft. How's this: This Cobra AH-1 former "attack helicopter" was rebuilt, repainted and re-purposed as a firefighting recon ship. It can provide video, infrared imaging and GPS data for plotting the hot spots and perimeters of the fires. Hey, it's not a water truck, but it's still way cool.
