Cut the top to your desired length with your cutting shear. @sharkfinshears Take bulk off sides with a #3 Make your first guidelines with your trimmer. Use your Fading/Taper clipper to make second guideline with your clipper open.... Blend first two guidelines to a smooth transition. Use #1open to make 3rd guideline then use your half guard to blend from 2nd to 3thrd guidline. Clipper over comb to transition to #3 guard. Use trimmer to line back and sides up. Blowdry hair to start working on the top. I use my 28 tooth texture shear to get rid of left over bulk around the crown and blend to the top. Style hair with texture powder. Mid Drop-Fade with Textured Top 1 Chop the top 2 Get rid of any bulk on sides where your fade will be. 3 Make a 0 guideline with your Fading clipper where you want the fade to start. 4 Use your trimmer to cut the leftover hair that's under your clipper guideline.... 5 Use your Shaver to get the stubble down to skin 1 inch under your clipper 0 guide - making sure to use a scooping motion to prevent hard lines. 6 Start blending your fade - This fade was a #2 down to skin on the sides. 7 Clipper over comb to blend from your #2 to your shear work on top. 8 Use your texture shears to blend the haircut from your clipper over comb to the top. 9Use your trimmer to go over step 5 to make sure no line is left from your shaver. 10 Blow-dry and style to finish your service.
