Negroni History: The story of the Negroni dates back to Florence circa 1919, Legend tells that Count Camillo Negroni asked his friend, bartender Forsco Scarselli at Caffè Casoni to strengthen his favorite cocktail, the Americano, by adding gin rather than the normal soda water. Scarselli also added an orange garnish rather than the typical lemon garnish of the Americano to signify that it was a different drink. A legendary drink was born!
