We’re all family here at Baon! Let’s get to know a bit more of our Kitchen Manager Bo @damnitbo ! . . . What does Baon mean to you?... . . . Well the concept of baon to me is not uncommon. It was the meal given to me by my Mom or Family, usually it was lunch and it was either made that day or the night before. What was odd was that I usually had baon but the majority of other kids didn’t, growing up in a Khmer community that having Baon was the the norm. . . . What inspires you to cook Filipino food? . . . It’s rooted in my love for cooking Khmer food, it brings a sense of calm and pride when I do it. What we do is our food, and it’s damn good. There is genuinely no better feeling than to see something I created being appreciated by another person. It makes me glow. . . . What do you love most about Baon and it’s vibe? . . . The best thing about Baon, is our sense of family. We all share a love of what we do, and why we’re doing it. That and we always seem to have r&b karaoke going on.
