Here's some food for thought: Did you know that livestock production is responsible for 1/5 of all greenhouse gasses (more than transportation)? Making simple dietary changes, purchasing from local food suppliers, and growing food at home are small things we can all do to help a sustainable food chain. Did you know more than 1 in every 10 people on Earth live in a place that has declared a climate emergency, according to The Climate Mobilization? With more intense wildfire seasons and drought, it's no surprise that Northern California has declared about one third of the nation's climate emergencies, making it a region that is at the vanguard of climate solutions to address this crisis. One person's upcycling is another person's hand-me-down. One person shouts Black Lives Matter while another person fights for clean water in their faucet. One group rocks clothing made from hemp or recycled plastic while another sews new clothes from cloth found in grandma's basement. Different language, same topic. Hip hop's lingual legends and experts break down the cultural history and words of environmental justice. http://ow.ly/LRvM50BMdtF

We are a proud member of The Conservation Alliance. Their mission is to harness the collective power of business and outdoor communities to fund and advocate for the protection of North America’s wild places. Twice annually, they bring this mission to life by awarding grants to grassroots conservation organizations that have been nominated by member companies. The Summer 2020 Grant Cycle just wrapped up and they are awarding a total of $950,000 to groups working to secure new... protections for remote wild lands and waters, as well as for close-to-home trails and open spaces. This new group of grantees is collectively working to protect more than 52 million acres and 125 river miles; defend more than one million acres from the threat of mining; and acquire one climbing area. Are any of these projects in your backyard? Take a look: http://ow.ly/onuO50BHX20 : Idaho Conservation League #wekeepitwild #ourwildfuture
