On September 4th for the Sojo Youth Pop Up, the Martin Luther King Library will sponsor 150 free Back Packs filled with various g...oodies like chalk, markers, Crayola dough, bubbles, journals, etc. to give away to children in our community. In addition to the 150 backpacks, the library will also have 35 pre-reader age backpacks to give out to families with babies/toddlers. They’ll have shaker eggs, a scarf, board book, bubbles, an egg crayon, etc. Artist Daphne Burgess will join us Sept 5th from 12pm to 1:30pm to facilitate an African Trade Bead workshop. There is something for the entire family. Please look through what is being offered and adjust your alarms. It is a great way to stay and feel kin'ected with commUnity. Finally, All Things Literacy is giving away 3 books featured in the book discussion. Faith for the "Momprenuer", this is for those mothers who also have aspirations to build her queendom while maintaining her family and other responsibilities. We really can have it all.
