The kittens are fearful and not friendlybut we are working on socializing them and giving them lots of tender loving care! URGENT! The shelter is still closed to the public and so many homeless cats and kittens have nowhere to go! A member of the community asked us to help with these four kittens. They were born July 20 and there are three boys and one girl. We need a rescue or foster who can take them in. Can you help? They are eating on their own and are litter trained but have not had any medical. She said mom is not friendly and the complex manager is trapping her to get her altered. We received this message: I’ve been caring for this adorable loving little guy who’s been living outside in my apartment for his entire lifeDiddy slept under the cars in my carport and in the dirt under the bushes. He was neutered by TNR when he was a kitten and I was told he’s 11 years old. He got injured one day and I found him in the bushes unable to walk both of his back feet were cut, bleeding and swollen. Diddy also had a cough and was taken to the vet to be looked at and after a series of events found out he had asthma and he is being treated for that. I have him on a low dose of prednisone and it seems to help. The medication is inexpensive and he only takes half of a pill a day. There are other treatments that may be beneficial as well as we are in the beginning stages of his treatment. It’s easy to manage. On the flip side Diddy’s full of energy and in full swing around 1 am so he will need to have a buddy to play with. He steals all my hair bands and hides them like a little ninja. You can tell he’s sad and doesn’t understand why he’s at the shelter He is altered and is listed as a domestic long haired mix. Sunshine was surrendered to the shelter because his family was moving and couldn’t take him. He is declawed so he has to be kept indoors at all times. He is also litter box trained. Sunshine is super sweet and friendly and he loves being petted, as soon as I approached his kennel he started rubbing up against the door for me to pet him.
