Good news on the weather front...

A beautiful day yesterday and another beautiful day in store. Enjoy this little taste of spring. Looks like getting back to some rain soon. Very nice!

Bare root season continues until the end of February. The selection of bare root fruit trees is still good. We have been selling them since the last week of December and they are selling quickly. Don’t wait till the end of the season. When a variety sells out it is gone for the season. We order once a year for bare root fruit trees. This year we will NOT have any pruning classes. This is due to the ongoing Covid situation. We apologize for the inconvenience. We are open every day, rain or shine.

New shipment of pottery just arrived. Getting unpacked and priced today and put out on display.

Seed potatoes are now in. Red, Yukon Gold, Russet, and Kennebec. $3.00 per pound.

Some nice fall weather on the way.

Beautiful fall morning. Fall is the very best time for planting trees and shrubs. They get established with the cooler weather and are ready to take off in the spring and be well established by their first summer. Much farther ahead than their spring planted counter parts.

Ready for their morning treat. Chester sits with good manners. Jessie doesn’t like to, since old hips are a little stiff in the mornings. Both such great dogs and greeters.

Just received. Japanese Maples, Dogwoods, Rhododendrons from Oregon. After County ag inspection, we will sort, price and be ready to go. Today’s task.

Happy Birthday Chester and Jessie. Eleven years old now. Always happy to greet folks when they come in.

Restocked winter veggies this morning. The forecast is for much cooler weather coming. Starts the downward trend on Saturday. Fall temperatures on the way.

New stock of winter vegetables just arrived.

Wildflower seeds are in. Blue Lupine, CA Poppy, and Native Wildflower Mix. Spread them when the rains are coming, for blooms next spring.

Orange trailing Lantana and Autumn Sage. Nice fall color.

YES WE ARE OPEN. We’ve had several calls recently asking if we are open and can you get here? YES WE ARE OPEN. ... And there are no restrictions on getting here. These pictures are today. Basically clear sky and very little smoke. And onion sets and garlic just arrived as well.

Just received a new shipment of grass seed. We carry lawn seed, pasture mixes, erosion control mixes, clover, Bermuda seed and more. All sold by the pound so we can sell you exactly the amount you need to cover the area you are seeding. September is a perfect month for planting grass seed. Warm enough to germinate quickly but not too hot to make it impossible to keep the new seed moist.
