Why is the world the way it is? How did we get here? Does everything happen for a reason or are some things left to chance? Drawing inspiration from Monty Python, Kurt Vonnegut, and even Ted 2, Dr. Sean B. Carroll's latest book, 'A Series of Fortunate Events', is a jovial ode to the power of chance. Join San Diego Natural History Museum for a very special Nat Talk, in which they will screen a video of the acclaimed writer, filmmaker, and biologist, as he reveals the improbable forces behind our most fundamental scientific truths.

Did you catch the Mayoral debate regarding Balboa Park tonight? Great insight to both candidates. A bit announcement at the beginning of the debate was the possible merger of two great Balboa Park organizations, Balboa Park Conservancy and Friends of Balboa Park! We love collaboration on any level when it comes to #balboapark <3

The Mingei International Museum may be closed for renovation, but they are still very active in the arts and design community. A great example: the Mingei was a driving force behind the recent #SanDiegoDesignWeek! There were an incredible amount of interesting panels, discussions, and content available from the week, all focused with a lens on design - including some about the Mingei itself and other #BalboaPark organizations! #Explore more at sddesignweek.org... https://youtu.be/mTRdOgg7ykk
