The California Department of Public Health's website My Turn, can help you locate where you can get a booster shot and help you schedule an appointment. Currently, booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine are available to eligible Californians. Visit https://myturn.ca.gov/. An FDA advisory committee on Thursday, October 14th unanimously recommended the authorization of a booster dose of Moderna’s COVID-19 messenger RNA vaccine for certain people, to be given at half the ...regular dose. The FDA will now take up the committee’s recommendation. If Moderna boosters are authorized, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will make clinical recommendations for the shots. More and more locations are requiring proof of vaccination. Your Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record is an electronic vaccination record drawn from the data stored in the California immunization registry. The digital record shows the same information as your paper CDC vaccine card. The digital record also includes a QR code that when scanned by a SMART Health Card reader will display to the reader your name, date of birth, vaccine dates and vaccine type.
