So happy to announce the local acts at #BJF32: Main stage... VELORIO on Friday ... Marlon E. Mackey on Saturday Side stage.... Jorge Santos and Viento on Friday The Akoustiks on Saturday Happy to host these great local groups!!!

One of our favorite things is being able to support local artists on both stages at the Bakersfield Jazz Festival. This year, we are pleased to feature Viento led by Jorge Santos on Friday night at #BJF32. He is a young trumpeter/pianist/bandleader who has a fire in his belly that I have rarely seen. He will be joined by some of Bakersfield's best players, including Tony Rinaldi, Jay Jay Hicks, Anthony Aguilar and others. Make a plan to come out and enjoy Viento at the 32nd Annual Bakersfield Jazz Festival! They will be playing when the doors open, and in between sets on the main stage! Thanks, Bakersfield! Just got confirmation from VELORIO that they accepted an offer to open #BJF32 on April 27, 2018! Viva la Velorio! Thanks folks, looking forward to a smoking set!
