Lost & Found Towing

Been a very long day. In route to a partway over roadway recovery today. In the middle of God's country. Out of all the things to brake on my truck the radiator hose. After the customers family went way out of there way to get me back on the road. Seeing the vehicle in person it was much much worse. The young lady driving turned down the wrong dirt road. While trying to turn around and go back she slid driver's side over road edge. She was very very lucky the vehicle hung up on a drain colvart stoping car for going down a very steep incline about 200-280 feet. As it was getting late, dark, and cold I had to shut down the job for safety reasons. Will be posting pics tomorrow maybe video. We did get the car back onto the roadway another 18"

The worst part about my truck being down. Is having to tell my customer's when they call and are depending on me. Ya I could just not answer the phone like the others guys, but I'm not the other guys. Get used equipment is hard sometimes. Sometimes you get good we'll maintained equipment. Other times you get equipment that is in such bad shape that it takes everything just to keep it working. I have never been one that was ashamed of work. Dirty cloths, dirty truck, run down ...paint job. My issue is always safety. I would rather park my truck and shut down my business, then take the chance of hurting someone else on the road or hurting myself. When I feel my truck is not safe to operate I don't operate. It does hurt me a few ways when this happens. Financially, mentally, the feeling of letting someone down. One day I will have more then one truck and I know more then problem. I know that I will not stop that I will keep pushing. Someday I won't have to push anymore that it what I want to leave my kids and grandkids. Until that day comes I will just swim like a duck. I pray that some day it will be as easy to get financing as it is to answer the phone.

What a long couple days for one job.

Just another day in the Dale Customer ya Need a tow wheel broke off. But it's got three others on it still. Me okay not a big deal Location truck is in a back yard with so many holes I could hide my truck in one. As soon as I start pulling on it rear axle seems locked up. Ya customer took a wheel off there truck not looking at size and tighten it onto the brake caliper. It it way to hot to have to deal with this.

This last week was a very busy week. Moved a few classic, school bus, lots of lock outs, and jump starts. 1984 Carpenter 43 passenger school bus cam all the way from Paso Robles.

So busted a seal on the rear end of my tow truck the other day not looking good working on buying a new truck maybe. Life happens sometimes we just have to step back for a minute and let God work his plan for us without panic. I have put so much time and work into the truck and the wonderful customers that call Lost & Found Towing for help are the ones that have been keeping this truck and this dream alive. Thank all of you for your support you deserve a better newer truck, more reliable that will always be there for you when you need it. We could not have made it this far without you and we are not giving up

Beautiful day for a tow on the old road to Mojave
