Don’t forget to get your tickets by 8am Monday morning (Dec 14th) for your Spaghetti Dinner. Santa Claus will be there to collect toys and take pictures too so don’t miss out! Can’t wait to see you all out there!

Don’t forget to get your tickets for BSWB’s Spaghetti Dinner this Saturday. If unable to make it out Saturday, we will be having one more on Monday, Dec 14th. If you already have dinner plans and are able, please come out and drop off a toy for our Toys for Tots Drive. There is a huge demand this year with families in need. All toys will benefit the children in our local Alliance Against Family Violence Program. Thank you all and Happy Holidays from us at BSWB.

Coaches, Parents, Players The safety and wellbeing of our players and spectators is our highest concern. To comply with the recommendations from the Governor's Office, State and Local Health Departments, The City of Bakersfield has made the following decision to limit public gatherings. All non-essential programs in the city facilities will be postponed or cancelled through the end of March. This includes all activities at Kaiser Permanente Sports Village, Aera Park and Mesa ...Marin. The situation is fluid, so for right now this ban of activities will be re-assessed in the coming days and weeks. All games missed will be rescheduled to the end of the season. Our current plan is to restart practices during spring break, April 1st - 12th, with games resuming on April 13th. This may change if we can resume activities earlier or this cancellation of activities is extended. We will keep you posted of any changes. We appreciate everyone's understanding of this situation. A huge congratulations to Tammy, Ron and Mike for winning BSWB’s Opening Day raffles. Thank you to everyone who participated!! Next time you’re out at the ball park, take a look down on fields 2 - 5 and see our new Shade Sails. This is where some of our money from our fundraisers goes to and it’s all because of you!! So thank you all once again!!

If anyone is missing a hat (we believe it’s a Giants hat) it was turned in to the concession stand.

Bakersfield Southwest Baseball 2020 Spring Ball is now going on. Come on out to BSWB and join in on the fun fun fun!!! We have a Rock Wall, Bounce Houses, Obstacle Courses, Amazing Vendors, Food, Sweets and a ton of fun!!!! Don’t miss out!!

Bakersfield Southwest Baseball will be having a Vendor/Craft Fair as part of our Opening Day Ceremonies Saturday, February 29. We are still looking for more vendors to come out and join us. Vendor fee is $100 and vendors must have liability insurance. If interested, please leave comment or message and someone will contact you right away. Hope to see everyone out there!!

Next evaluations are Saturday, January 11th for M-Z and any players that missed last weeks evaluations. Sign-In table is open 8-10am for hourly time slots for Pinto live pitch, Mustang 9/10, Bronco & Pony Divisions only. Foal, Shetland & Pinto Machine Pitch do not evaluate. Waitlist players do not evaluate. Shetland 5, Pinto Live, Bronco & Pony are currently are full. If registering to those divisions, you have the option to register to a waitlist, there is no charge for this option. We will use players to fill any remaining spots on teams from this list. Team drafts and team formations are next week. A coach will contact you when they receive player information after the 20th.

Don’t forget...... Evaluations for players with last names A-L are today, January 4th at Aera park. Sign in begins at 8am for hourly evaluation time slots beginning at 9am. Evaluations for M-Z will be held on January 11th. Evaluations are for Pinto Live Pitch, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony Divisions only. No evaluations for Foal, Shetland, or Pinto Machine Pitch. Coaches players are not evaluated. There will be Jerseys and Hats at the sign in table to size players..., if you are uncertain about your players size please stop by during evaluations. Once jerseys and Hats have been ordered we cannot change the size you ordered. Still a few spots left in most divisions, please register today to avoid waitlists! See more
