**UPDATE: We will be temporarily closing our office. ** Our office will be closed starting Wednesday, March 18th, for all non-emergency appointments. At this time, we are unsure of our return date. The California Dental Association strongly recommends that dentists practicing in California voluntarily suspend nonessential or non-urgent dental care for the next 14 days. This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution during this historic public health emergency. As... health care professionals, we all have a role to play in "flattening the curve" in order to follow sound, scientific public health advice to help limit infections and slow the spread of the virus. If you have a dental emergency in the next two weeks, please call our office at (760) 375-8512 for information on how to reach our staff while we are closed. We appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented times and will be contacting patients to reschedule once our office is reopen. As news of possible school closures roll in, we would like you to know that our doors are open and we are seeing patients as scheduled. To ensure the safety and health of our patients we are implementing the following guidelines and ask for your help with the following: 1. If you are not feeling well, especially if you have a cough, fever, flu or cold-like symptoms, newly developed shortness of breath, or have been in contact with someone who has contracted or been exposed to the virus, please call the office to reschedule. 2. If possible, we ask that adult patients attend their appointments alone and that minors attend with one responsible party only. 3. As appropriate, you may drop off your child and remain in your car during their appointment. We will call you when they are finished to schedule their next appointment and brief you on what was accomplished. 4. We are offering patients the option to wait in their cars and receive a phone call or text message when it is their turn for treatment. 5. As always, we will follow OSHA guidelines for infection control. In addition to the already strict and universal precautions that we undertake on a daily basis, we will have additional staff cleaning the office. These are unprecedented times and we sincerely appreciate your understanding. We respect your individual desires to not be seen during this time and we will gladly reschedule your appointment. However, we would like to accommodate patients as necessary. As always, our office continues to practice CDC recommended state-of-the-art infection control practices as well as additional sanitation measures.
