Babies and Beads made $174 at the CTA Service Center Special Ed. Symposium! The students had the opportunity to share the story of Babies and Beads with educators. They shared how through their participation in a microbusiness they were able to gain the skills needed to gain employment. I am so proud of all of my students! Keep up the amazing work! CTA President Toby Boyd stopped by to support the students of Babies and Beads! Thank you to all of you who have supported us in any way!

We made over $400 at the New Educator conference today! Great job to the student workers today! You all worked so hard and it paid off!

Babies and Beads has been back in action for two weeks now and here are a few of our new lanyard designs. Thank you Jennie Bassette for the large donation of brand new beads! The students were excited to have some new beautiful beads to work with! Our next fundraiser will be on September 21st at the Supporting LGBTQIA Students Symposium. To the ECSE class of room 204 at Normal Heights Elementary thank you for the adorable plants that you each painted for us and for the framed picture with your thumb prints on it! How precious that is! Thank you for spending your morning with us yesterday!

Today is the day that we look forward to every year! Babies and Beads held their annual classroom adoption in which we adopted an Early Childhood Special Ed. class at Normal Heights Elementary. All of the hard work from our students this year paid off today! We presented classroom materials. We provided a catered breakfast for the students and their families. Babies and Beads' students rocked it at the CTA Special Ed. Symposium yesterday. Travon and Ana participated on a panel and gave the educators some feedback on how to best serve students with disabilities. You both did amazing! Thank you to all of the educators who supported us yesterday and to the many CTA volunteers who made this event possible. We are so thankful to be part of the CTA family!
