This incredibly abundant Napa Valley is experiencing another wildfire. This photo was taken the evening before the first wildfires about 6 weeks ago. One thing is for sure, this valley and community are resilent, strong and supportive! Thank you for your continued support through so many challengs this year. We could not do what we do without you! I am grateful for each of you, our members, mailing list supporters and facebook friends. Thank you for your words, emails, calls and continuing to enjoy the wines!

Each year brings its own challenges when it comes to the ebb and flow of Mother Nature. She often brings nourishing rains, the bay breeze to cleanse the air and a natural diurnal flow that provides an ideal cooling in the evening and morning to make this an incredible growing region. Then there are also heat waves that are sweltering, lighting storms that started the fires last month, which we are still dealing with. We are constantly reminded that Mother Nature is in charge ...despite what we hope for each vintage. She has the greatest hand in determining an abundant harvest over a challenging one. This year is proving to be a difficult year for grapes and for all of us here in wine country. We have had heat waves reaching 110 degrees over multiple days and weeks. In addition, we have experienced living in a haze of smoke for the past month. We are hopeful that we will be able to produce wines this year given the challenging conditions. Our commitment is to produce wines of the highest quality and in keeping this at the forefront, it will determine what may come of this vintage. We are grateful to continue to bring incredible wines to you! Thank you for your support! We will continue producing wines that you love! Sending love and wine from the Napa Valley!
