"As one of the leading providers of soccer education in the USA, we feel we have a duty to provide everyone who interacts with our programs with 'The Best (and Safest) Possible Soccer Experience'. The past 12 months have felt anything but ordinary, but things look like they are about to change for the better... Across the country, states, counties, and cities have been announcing their Youth Sports' re-starting plans. Programs are being implemented for baseball, swimming, k...arate, basketball, to name but a few...and of course, soccer. From an internal standpoint, we have been preparing to reopen soccer for the past 12 months. We have implemented a wide range of COVID-19 protocols to cover all scenarios while amending our soccer curriculums to keep them fun and engaging under the new regulations. However, we want to do more. Recent studies have shown that: -The average child now spends an EXTRA 5 hours a day on a screen, compared to 12 months ago. -There has been a 24% increase in ER mental health visits for children aged 5-11. -Over 50% of households have experienced a negative financial effect from the pandemic. These are just a few of the issues that families may be facing at this time. Additionally, children have not been interacting with their friends on a social level, perhaps feeling a little lonely or isolated. And with homeschooling adding to the existing restrictions, you also have parents who may have been unable to maintain their social connections. But...we want to do more! Soccer programs are an excellent outlet for children. They get to be active, have fun, interact with others, and enjoy being kids. It seems as if everyone has been affected by our kids not being in school. Our staff has all had the same struggle of juggling work while trying to homeschool their kids.
