from our instagram @cal.axo meet two of our incredible new exec members: Elizabeth and Maddy Vice President of Facility Operations: Elizabeth Grubb... this is elizabeth! she will serve us as our vice president of facility operations. she is an aries who loves phoebe bridgers! this third year queen studies political science and makes her voice heard! more from elizabeth about why she loves alpha chi: I've always been so wowed by the passion Alpha Chis exude and appreciative of all the support I have received for my passions. Whether it's marine biology, politics and activism, or even knitting, Alpha Chis are the most passionate group of people I've ever been apart of. I feel so lucky to be around such driven women who constantly energize and motivate me! we are so lucky to have her support during this trying time, and feel so confident in her ability to make our house a home this year! Vice President of Intellectual Development: Madeline Weiss meet miss maddy! she is a second year intellectual powerhouse studying french and mcb. this scorpio queen hails from cincinnati, ohio and has a dog who is bigger than her! we are so excited to have her support our chapter as we embark on our virtual second semester in january! for this weeks #whyalphachiwednesday, meet our vice president of community development, reva! reva hales form wesport, connecticut and studies history! this leo queen spent like 72 full hours listening to Fleetwood Mac last year and will go her own way to make change in the house! from reva on why she chose alpha chi ... Recruitment was such a scary and stressful time for me in general, but on the second day I went to alpha chi I met my big and she was so chill and sarcastic and made me laugh and forget how nervous I was. I’ll also never forget how during house tours, alpha chi replaced some of their member photos with washed up celebrity mugshots. Lindsay Lohan sold me I guess. we are so proud to have her be our first vice president of community development, and cannot wait to see her positive impact within our chapter!

While a fully virtual semester during a pandemic was not what we expected, Alpha Chi Omega has rallied to make Fall 2020 incredible! From experiencing our first zoom recruitment, to organizing countless virtual sisterhood events, we got creative to maintain the love in the bond! Our chapter could not have done it without the leadership of our executive board and the hardworking and resilient womxn in this chapter! For our Facebook coordinator, Annabel Rubio, who was not on c...ampus this semester she shares that being in AXO has 100% allowed me to feel connected and find a home in Berkeley without needing to be there. Events such as Apple Pie with Alpha Chi (which, unfortunately, did not come with free apple pie) allowed for all of us to meet alumnas and to be able to begin/grow a network of STRONG working womxn! As a little, meeting my big and going on tons of carnation dates to find my perfect big gave me a space to get to know my sisters and to really bond with them- it was to the point where Zoom no longer felt like Zoom! Being able to play trivia games and to finally have the competitive rush that good, wholesome Spooky Trivia brings out in all of us was so refreshing in a semester from home. Pi chapter has continued to support our philanthropy Ruby’s Place, a local shelter in Oakland, and promote domestic violence awareness and prevention virtually. We raised nearly $1800, which provides funds for the shelter to run services for nearly 4 weeks! We wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported our chapter through this tough time. We really appreciate it and are looking forward to what 2021 has to offer! Tag a sister and tell them your favorite AXO memory! LITB!
