It's going to be a warm week so don't forget to stay hydrated. Check out these tips and guidelines from the @American College of Sports Medicine. And remember, the more you exercise, the more water you may need to drink! http://www.acsm.org//selecting-and-effectively-using-hydra

JOB OPPORTUNITY: AXIS PT (www.axispt.net) is what Physical Therapy should be. We provide one hour treatment sessions for each individual patient. This allows our Physical Therapists to spend quality one on one time with every patient. Not only do our patients appreciate this, but so do our hands. AXIS PT is a private practice looking for a Physical Therapist to join us. We need a professional, mature individual whose focus and passion is outpatient orthopedics. Manual therapy... skills are very important. Initially, 20 hours will be available, but will evolve into a F/T position within 4-6 weeks. Salary is negotiable and commensurate to experience. Great location across the street from the Walt Disney Concert Hall. We also have plenty of outdoor space allowing for sporting drills. We have a great variety of patients that include many Downtown professionals with high expectations. Please e-mail us or fax your resume to 213-617-2903

5.0 star rating 10/17/2014 I have had 6 knee surgeries on both of my knees combined, I have arthritis, and have had 3 ACL replacements in my left knee. I am 26 years old and active and would like to keep it that way. After my most recent knee reconstruction I was afraid I would never be the same again. I needed help. Other Physical Therapy locations in Los Angeles that I called flat out told me they "could not help me and had no one qualified to handle my recovery from my mos...t recent surgery considering the complications." The second I called AXIS I was assured that someone would take good care of me. They have a great location with all of the equipment necessary to service all types of rehab. I have been in rehab on my legs for 10+ years (unfortunately) and I have never received the one on one compassionate and dedicated attention I receive at AXIS anywhere else. Steve (who owns the place) is one of the most informed and enthusiastic trainers I have ever met and had the pleasure to work with. He understands all aspects of the human body and has immense knowledge of the recovery process. The front desk is reasonable, kind and easy to work with. Their rates are some of the best I've seen and I can confidently say I am improving at a rapid rate due to the care I am receiving with AXIS. I would 100% recommend AXIS PT to anyone looking to improve from an injury/surgery/illness etc. They do it all, love these guys.

5.0 star rating 9/27/2014 After trying another physical therapy in LA, I found Axis PT. I am so grateful for having found them. Adam is really knowledgeable and patient. The exercises during the appointments and those that he gave me to do at home were great. Thanks!

5.0 star rating 10/1/2014 This is THE BEST PT rehab center! I would give it a million stars if I could. The staff is amazing and my therapist Steve is a miracle worker! I broke my ankle and literally forgot how to walk. My first day at Axis was the first time I had set my right foot on the floor after my injury. I was terrified learning to walk again. Learning to walk straight and normal like before. Thank god for Steve! I'm back to normal! He even pointed out that I had to strengthen my hips and knees and helped me with that too! This is the only PT place I trust and I highly recommend it! I hope you're all doing well at Axis!

On Friday, September 19th, Steve and his team the AXIS PT Highlanders will be climbing the US Bank Tower (1,664 steps - 75 stories), and it’s all for a great cause! The Stair Climb for Los Angeles is an annual fundraiser in support of the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA. The YMCA provides fundamental programs for children, families and seniors living in some of LA’s most under-resourced neighborhoods. Our team goal is to raise $1,000 and bring more awareness to the cause. Please help... support our efforts by donating today! http://ymcala.convio.net/site/TR/Events/General
