AWANA Club Galt Bible Church

This past Wednesday we were blessed to have our Missionaries, John and Dee Cook from Indigenous Ministries. We were able to present them with a check from this years Penny Drive for their School Back Pack program for refugee children in Iraq. Thank you so much John and Dee for sharing this time with use.

Ok, Just catching everyone up on the Penny Drive activities for the last few weeks. On night 3, the girls won the tilt bringing in $92.55 in pennies to the boy’s $13.42. The boys swung the balance back in their favor on night 4, brining in $43.13, to the girls $33.94. 0n night 5 the boys just barely got the scale to tilt in their favor by raising $42.92, to the girls $34.20. Once again the boys brought in the most pennies on night 6, with a total of $81.90. The girls had a strong finish raising $59.28. To date, we have raised a total of $481.26. So far we will be able to sponsor approximately 26 refugee students. We are just over halfway to our goal of 50 students. Next week is our last week of the Penny Drive.
