Did you know AAHC has a FREE App that helps you earn money for future visits? We do! Search your play store for Aviara AHC and download the Vet2Pet App. Once you create an account (using the email address we have on file), all of your pet's reminders will upload to the app and you will be able to see when vaccines are due, see any upcoming scheduled appointments, request medication/food refills, appointments, and more. The best part is that we have a Loyalty Reward Program... through the App. For every $100 increment you spend in a visit, you will receive a loyalty stamp (phone must be present at time of payment). Once all 16 stamps have been collected, you will receive a $100 credit on your account to be used for future visits. The stamps never expire and you can earn multiple stamps in one visit. If you have any problems downloading the App, call our office and any of the front desk staff will be happy to walk you through the steps.

We are wishing everyone (two and four legged) a very fun Howl-o-Ween today While the little ghouls are out trick or treating, please remember your furry friend may not be as thrilled with all the goblins running around or ringing your doorbell. Please keep them safe by securing them in a room that they can not get out of, play some music and make sure they are wearing a collar with an up-to-date id tag.

I love this photo of Jack because it amazes people who knew him to be extremely skittish. We adopted Jack from the shelter and he was quite nervous and shy. Though it took years of devoted love and time spent with him, Jack eventually came to love us, his people, and cuddled us accordingly. However, he stayed shy around any friends who entered our home. He did learn not to hide under the bed when the doorbell rang but even at the end of his life, he still chose the safety o...f the top of the stairs over coming down to visit with guests. Because of his temperament, friends are surprised when they see this photo of such a comfortable, people-loving, relaxed cat. This is the Jack we knew! While I wish (for his sake), he hadn’t been a nervous little one, the affection and feeling of being completely comfortable he showed around us made us bond with him even more. Earning his love was costly and he didn’t give it to any random person though he was gentle and kind to all. The fact that he loved us in spite of his shy nature made the love all the more precious. We loved this boy!! I can’t help saying it again: we SO LOVED this boy! He was the most precious, winsome, timid, soft-spoken addition to our family and we count our time with him as a great blessing. We hope you’re chittering at birds right now, little boy!

Did you know today is #globalcatday? It is a celebration of the movement of people who protect cats by advocating for humane local policies, adopting or fostering, and carrying out non-lethal cat management including Trap-Neuter-Return.

In honor of #nationaltrainyourbrainday, we want to remind pet parents that mental stimulation, and puzzles are a great way to keep your furry loved one mentally healthy and happy. Puzzle feeders, food toys, learning new tricks, learning a new sport, practicing what they already know....all this is a wonderful way to keep your pet mentally stimulated. So on this day we recommend you create a resolution of some new ways you will keep your pet mentally stimulated
